A workshop for journalists
30 March 2002, India Habitat Centre

Who should market Gandhi's name? How do societies benefit from patents? Does IPR encourage innovation? Does patent protection restrict access and increase prices? Should we have patents on genes? Who should receive economic benefits from traditional knowledge? What is the Indian public's perception of intellectual property?

Liberty Institute and International Policy Network invite you to examine these and other questions by participating in a workshop aimed at initiating a dialogue between policy experts and media persons, and contributing to an informed public discussion on this important issue.
